Hey Guys!

Heading down to the South Coast of SA (includes the bluff, cape jervis, rapid bay) tonight and will have a go for <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> sometime. The weather has been a bit rough of late, so there mightent be too many <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blueboxbullet.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> around, but fingers crossed.

Will report when i get back.........

Cheers!

Nathan
Hey Nathan, Best of luck! I reckon bluff is a great spot and look forward to going there once again. You really need one of those rope/net gizmos to land the squid since the bluff pier is quite high up above the water and the squid are ENORMOUS!

Yeah, the bluff is a bit spasmodic though - can take hours to get a squid, and it may be the only one you get - net/gizmo thing - i use a crab net.........

Cape jervis squid average 1kg and ive got them to 3kg and i reckon there are more - well worth the extra 45mins............
Well, we managed to catch 2 smallish salmon from Waitpinga (just up the hill from the bluff - surf beach) and we tried for a couple of hours for squid from cape jervis, but alas - nothing!

Will be back down there Tuesday week with some people who have never caught a squid before - could be interesting. Gonna try cape jervis, rapid bay, second valley, wirrina and if we still cant find them drop in at the bluff............
