hi pat,
let us know what the banjo's taste like.
i am not sure what a butterfish is. would be great if you could post a photo of them.
4-5m visibility is pretty lousy. i have had a lot better in port phillip. You would probably get better visbility toward the southern end of the bay. though the current may be greater (depending on where you go) and more care may be needed. It has been pretty windy lately and i guess that did not help things.

ye only reason i went there was because my mates caravan park is practacly on the beach.. i dont have a digi cam at the moment hence no pics.
i usually hit phillip island but haven;t had the time. vis is good there crystal clear water plenty of action
oh ye i didnt eat the banjo although my dad told me its like flake good to eat..
