Gday Pat

Never heard of neptune tackle, but I'm sure they're a reputable brand <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':ink' />

I'm off to Qld for a conference Wednesday morning, but weather permitting I'll be going mid-week next week. You're welcome to come along, I'll keep you posted.

Neptune are a very reliable brand - used a lot here in south australia............

Would recommend them in an instant!!

As for snapping your rod - if you looked after it, and used it properly and it snapped, then it should be covered by the manufacturer - most are!! Although i think thats only covered for a year.....It would usually only snap if you are using a line strength which is too much for the rod.........
the rods been looked after since the dya i got it but it was a few years old

i've bought a new one anyway
hey guyz

i went to buy another floundering light yestersday but the bulb was about a quarter of the size of the one i already have. do u guys know how big a flounder light should be and where i could buy one ...
I want to get a flounder light. I know you connect them to a battery but where do you get a battery, how much is a battery and how often do you have to replace dead batteries??

Thanks SAUCE
hi and1,

most of us are using old car batteries....so the cost is ZERO if you can find one. or you could go to a car wrecker and buy a second hand one... <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':woot:' /> i am using a small car battery from a toyota corolla.

cheers, glen <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
