Does anyone out there know what is going on with my marine deep cycle battery? I used it the other night for my squid light and it lasted only 30 minutes. It is brand new and was fully charged (or so I thought). I had charged it overnight so it should have lasted a lot longer.

Anyone have this problem before? I am going to try it again. I tested it this time with my multimeter and it is definitely fully charged.

How long do your batteries last when you use them with your squidding light?

Thank you!

I have found that my batteries don't hold a charge as well as they used to as well. A lot of it depends on how much load you are putting on the batteries. The more Watts you use for lights, the faster they will discharge.

I use a Dual battery setup. With my 250 Watt light, I get about 6.5-7 hours. With 400 Watts, I get about 2.5 hours.

Hope this helps.
