So... Does anyone know about squid up in the San Juan Islands, specifically the North end of San Juan Island by Roche Harbor or Wescott Bay? I'm a newbie and would love to hear what anyone knows. Cheers! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/beer_mug.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />
I would say your best bet for squid in the San Juans area would be from August-October. They will go through there as they come in off the ocean for spawning.

I'd be goping out there now for squid fishing. There are squid there year round. Look for piers that have a regular light source. This helps maintain a consistant feeding pattern. Ask some of the local shops. Also, go out in teh day and night and see if anyone is out squidding. If you notice black "ink" stains by your feet on the pier/ jetty, then you know squid have been around.

Just go out and give it a try.
