Montauk Point: The fluking is steadily improving, and with all of the bait in the water, it would be hard not to. Freddie's reports some good action on stripers and bluefish, both of which should take off in the upcoming days. And the squid in the water is making folks fill up on calamari.

I have had another report today that the squid are thick at Montauk. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':th' />

I know this is an old post, but where abouts in Montauk? Last year the squidding was minimal in Greenport (at least when I went); I am not sure how this year looks, but if they are hitting in Montauk, it may be worth the jump to the other fork.
