Butterfly Squid "Stoloteuthis leucoptera"

These guys don't get very big. They have a maximum mantle length of just 2.5cm! They are quite common in the Gulf of Maine at depths of betweeen 175 to 340 m.
They have also been reported from the Mediterranean.
