hey, I'm a newbie to this, but I'd like to try it. I live in seattle, gonna try it at the des moines pier or maybe downtown. What are the best times for squidding? is it by the tide or just the time of day? thanks for the help.
Hi Newbie!!!!!

Seattle has been slow still, but have heard spotty results from the Des Moines area lately. I would recommend trying to hit the water about an hour before dark, even better if you can time it with an incoming tide.

Until things pick up however, I would recommend Tacoma or Port Orchard/Bremerton which has been having better success.

Jig selection also is important, and I would recommend our Puget Sound Squid Teaser selection (mostly the smaller sizes until the larger squid come in), they can be found on our web site www.squidjig.com The "Bullet-Head" jigs have been producing very well!!!
