HI we caught some squid at the weekend and wondering how do you take the membrane off the squid

Hi Annie,
Welcome to the forum. I thought you can just peel it off with ease. not sure if that would make the squid softer or anything. if it is going to be used for bait it will be better to leave the skin on and dont wash with fresh water at all.

Just use a knife to scrape it off.
or you can cover it with beach sand and then rub all the sand off with both hands and the skin will come off with it
to tenderize the squid
soak it in some kiwifruit
