Weekend was A1 for squid fishing.

The bay was like a sheet of glass. Fished at Black Rock on Sat and Sun night. Lost a good sized squid just on dark. I am new to this caper but really enjoy it. Bought all the gear, petzel, jigs etc. Yesterday was very dissapointing...should have been squid all over the place.

Still waiting for the big one....

Glen - top site. Keep up the good work.

I'll be at Half Moon Bay on Tuesday Morning (yeah, Melbourne Cup Day) with some friends. How does the Pier/Jetty go down there for squid?? Anybody have a clue?

Staff Member Mitch fished with mate Paul Malov at Black Rock during the week. The boys fished in 6-10 metres of water around Ricketts Point and Black Rock to catch and release good numbers of Pinkie snapper to 40cm, heaps of salmon to 1 kilo and plenty of calamari. 3” bass minnow soft plastics worked best in the pumpkin seed colour.

I usually go quite well there, and it sure is a pretty spot.
