can you catch squid in the south west of scotland (britain)any help is fantastic because i have never even tried to fish for squid but have been fasinated by them for a while now but my brother thinks my dream of catching a squid of any size is stupid and wont even listen to me.i am very into all sea fishing and have been since a young age any tips will be apreciated thank you

Should be able to catch them there. Best times will be at night with a good bright light hanging over your boat. I have been sending quite a few orders to several areas in the UK recently, and been hearing that fishing has been good. Some of the guys are selling them, on guy said the price is going for 5 Pounds per kg.

thanks alot i will try anything just to catch 1 squid or cuttle could you tell me if there is a best time of the year

I have not kept track of the best time of the year for the UK, but I think it may be now.
