They were fun to catch - found a jetty in bullock island most productive - just about every cast got it. Caught a couple of mullets too, and a couple of sand crabs that was surprisingly meaty. My brother caught a flathead - the only one for out trip. And a couple of trevally but they were too small to keep.

On a fluke I managed to catch a 40 cm Luderick! It was fat, and tasty we had it for dinner on our first night fishing!

It was so fun - even my partner who didn't like fishing that much was fishing - on a rainy day!

Now back in bayside, and I'm looking for a spot that has similar action... I've never fished mordi pier - anyone fished it recently??? Be so fun to catch fish like that closer to home. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
