I am shooting for a Sat night for a all nighter. I hopefully I might up some of you. I probably do blackfishing in Boston in a few spots in the morning.

Speaking of "secret outlets", I arrived at the town dock in Jamestown one night last year and someone had been using one of the outlets on the dock for squid lights and either a boat owner or employee had gotten real irate and had called the cops.



The cops glared at me and looked like they wanted to arrest me just for having squidding gear <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> .

Anyone tough it out in the rain last night? I'm wondering if they would still bite in the foul weather. I'll be down tonight to give it another try. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/images2.jpg' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Does everyone here usually fish the wall or the island side of bridge? I always go to the island, maybe that why I never see anyone else from here. I'm the guy who made the polished reflectors for the coleman. Stop by and say hello next time. I think I'll be there Thurs, Frid & sat evening.

Is the weather still miserable up in rhodie? It's still coming down in buckets here in CT. I imagine this will set the fishing back a couple days b/c everything is gonna be churned up, the cold rain will likely drop the water temp slightly and the baitfish will be hiding out til the weather calms. BOO to crappy weather but at least the pollen washed away

Wouldn't this mean the squiddys should be hungry by the time the rain lets up.. and Wednesday should be a killing if we get our jigs in the water?

does anyone know why squid are attracted to the harbors of newport and jamestown and tiverton? if it's just to spawn, mate, feed, and shelter then wouldn't they be found in around the boat docks in upper bay??

Cephalopods enjoy high salinity environments.

That's my thought too. Squid are basically one big muscle. They need to feed quite frequently to keep the energy up. I hope their hungry on Wed/Thrs. I also recall a few years back the bite was strong during a bitter windy rain storm. Go figure...

Nobody their now? I'm off work and thought I might grab my raingear and head out. Any thoughts?
