Damn for your sake (and all of ours) I hope they do too. That would suck to give up a trip like that for nothing. They will come! Oh yes, the squiddlies will come!
Took the boat out last night between 8-11pm and ran a full tank of gas on the generator to catch 2/3 bucket of squid with two onboard. I fished right out of Newport harbor a little bit. I droved by the GI bridge and there were about a dozen people or so on the bridge fishing. They should make their way in to GI and Jamestown "campground" by Wednesday or Thursday, and by this weekend it's guaranteed to be boat-load coming in the harbor. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

PS: Please keep it clean <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Has any one checked today to see if ther are catching them on GI bridge?
does any one know where i can get a light weight battery that can juice up some underwater lights? the lights use 4 amps and it is recommended that i use marine deep cycle batteries, but those things are heavy as hell. i'm not too fond of the using postive/negative clips on those lights... can i splice them and convert them to a regular ac/dc electrical prong connector?

NO! Don't do that. At best you'll ruin your light. At worst you could be hurt bad. You need a converter for your 12/24 volt light in order to run off regular AC current. As far as I know all deep cycle batteries are going to be heavy but before you do something crazy get a battery and something to help carry it or get a different light.

I was there today, Tuesday from 7 to 10 with no action. There were about 4 other people and no one had any.

Hi all does any body get any thing. I can wait until Friday
Was down at the pier tonite, and so far nothing. There is a ton of bait fish that I haven't seen to much of until tonight. I think this weekend its gonna be hot.
I was down on the causeway today from about 330 PM - 830PM and one guy caught one squid the moment got there. Then nothing. What a fluke. That one particular squid must have been lost.
Trying again on Fri. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/images2.jpg' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
