I'm gonna see how the waterman pier is tonight in Port Orchard. I bought some new jigs from Bay St. Outfitters (squidzilla's). We'll see how they do compared to the ones I got at Joe's. I'll give you all a report manana.
best of luck! i hope you catch a few! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/xyxthumbs.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Waterman was a bust. I was fighting low tide (I started at 1930). Two or three other squidders. Two of the guys fishing said they caught 15 each yesterday. The rain didn't help much either, but I don't have much experience squid jigging in rain. I'm going to try the Annapolis dock next wednesday.

I usually recommend smaller jigs, the squid just jump on them!!!! The Port Orchard area has typically been VERY good on Orange Color.... Low tide is often good there at Waterman as well, as the squid hang out under the pier.

You might try over at the Bremerton ferry terminal, I've heard they have that back open, and have heard people have been doing fairly well.

Yeah. I'm totally new at this whole squid jig thing. It's fun though. I am experiementing with everything. I'm sure I'll have a few of your jigs before too long. They were on at Annapolis last Saturday. I got 4 but the guy next to me was reeling them in one after the other and he was using smaller jigs (white ones).
Fished Waterman on Monday and did great. Limited with relative ease. Went early this morning on flood tide at 02:00am and not one squid. There were thousands of anchovies and a seal slicing through the schools but where did the squid go? any ideas? Is this strictly a flood tide event or is it goos at all times in the early evening when it first gets dark?
