Which is better ? Baited Squid Jig or Artificial Squid Jig ?



When is it more appropriate to use Baited Squid jigs and when is it more appropriate to use Artificial Squid Jig ?

It would help if you gave us some idea of your approximate location fire eagle.

Squid spikes baited with fish are better for the larger squid,use a tough fresh fish such as a "Yakka" ,or Jack Mackerel,Mullet and avoid soft fleshed fish such as pilchards/sardines unless you wrap them thoroughly in "bait mate" stretchy cotton to hold them on the spike. Sispend the fish a meter or two under a float with a light stick at night.
My personal preference is to set and forget the baited jig under a float and work the cloth jig. <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />
