I put my money and mouth on calamari any day of the year.....problem is most places seem to have squid not calamari in Oz.

i've cooked both arrow squid and nth calamari

for me, i could not tell the difference

that may have something to do with the XXXX that goes with it

(sure beats drinking that VB stuff)

Cmon now...XXXX is up there with the worst beer in the country!!!



Southern calamari goes well with a good pilsner or a lager.



BTW - I agree VB is average.
