Hopper,
I have done a bit of squidding in warnbro sound before with a mate who lives down that way. Let me say there are a lot of very nice spots where squid hang about, on one occasion I did better than I did in my usual squid spots that produce well. Deeper water will produce squid but I have found the best depth to be between 4-8m. Do you have a sounder on your boat? If it's overcast and you can't see what ground you are on i would sound around for patches of rocky/weedy ground with a bit of softer patches (sand).
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Pete
Thanks Pete,
I did imagine that the 4-8 m sections out towards the rocks would be better than the deep middle part.We did'nt end up going on the saturday howling easterly n all that so i'm still rearing to try it out.
My boat <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/boat.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':boat:' /> is a 4.18 savage kestral wide body with a little lowrance fish finder. Its all set up for squdden un fushun.Just a tiller steer but I would'nt swap it for the world.I will post some photos one day when this dumb roo shooter figures how to actually do it <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
' /> .
Sounds good hopper! You can always load em onto tinypic.com and then copy the links it gives you into your post, then it will show all the sick squid photos! <img src='http://www.squidfish.net/forums/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
