Headed out to the spit last night, i first tried opposite the marina and got a decent squid on my first drop, fished for another 15 odd minutes with no luck. Went over to the marina side where everyone likes to fish, first went the other side of the bridge off the beach and landed a small cuttle fish, moved back under the bridge to where everyone was fishing and managed nothing after a good 10 minutes and decided to call it a night.

Drove past greenwich wharf on the way back which was packed and not all that good at night time.

Can anyone recomend any other decent night squidding land based spots?? I know about all the sites in the eastern suburbs, im looking more towards the northern side of the harbour....
The Greenwich Baths & the boat ramp on the WEST side of the 18' Sailing Club have produced in the past....

Thinks....why would the Jewies & Kings frequent this area?

Also popular are the Spit Br.,& Clifton gdns. ,both are well fished so you

need a top jig & technique to score.

Most harbour Squid are small at the moment so go for smaller jigs2.0-1.6
