Well it turned up today took less than a week and must say the quality is better than i thought and smaller than i thought very impressed.

Has metal rings around front sections to stop splitting and green plastic tube on shaft under gaff head glows in the dark

Fishonproshop ones are 3m long

the one i got was 5m, as 3m isnt long enough for me when standing up on the pier it wouldnt reach youd have to lay down and hang over the side on a low tide, to reach the water.

Thats the only reason or i would have got on from fishonproshop.

Gaff weighs 520grams with the strap 62 cm closed 500cm open.
ye ai could have used one this morning aswell.

what is the battery for or is that there to show size?

is it carbon fibre?

does it seem like it could take abit of abuse?
yeah battery was just for size comparison, yes it is carbon fibre.

I,ve seen a picture of a second hand one for sale in japan that was always just put down on the rocks and ground it was scratched up but still ok working order.

I live directly across the road from fishing fever and they were the first ones i asked but no one had the one i wanted so i ordered from japan now a few places are getting them in. mine was from plat and cost me 16000 yen 191 ozzy dolars at the time of exchange rate .

fishing fever is selling them at 250.00.

Your right there, I think fishonpro shop has them at reasonable price now if anyone wants on.
i get yamashita jigs for $10 and yo zuri for $10.

rods for half the price, line for half the price, gaffs are cheaper reels everything.

everyone always go support your local store well local stores should be supporting us the fishing people and have resonable prices, we all have no problem with them making money but seriously when they are marking things up $50 or $100 its a joke.

alot easyer and cheaper to buy from japan, but i mist say i have found a local guy that sells harimitsu and yo zuri, yamashita and a few others very cheap...
Hey guys, to be competitive we are now selling the autoking 300 gaffs for $179 and the 500s for $189.

Cheers,

Pete
i also got mine from plat.co.jp and arrived with ina week. at the time i got mine i did not see them in australia. plat.co.jp is a great site. jigs are pretty cheap there too..

High Pete, what would the postage be for Melbourne for the 500 ????
Ian, would be $9.28 postage as it weighs more than 500gm but less than a kg.

Cheers,

Pete
